The Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport ( FBMA )
FBMA (FAA Airport Designator )
Is operated by the city of Fernandina Beach as an
enterprise fund to be self-sustaining and not
require City General Funds it its operations.
The Amelia Island Airport has Hangar rentals.
The City of Fernandina Beach are the owners
of and also lease 48 t- hangar unites and
four 44x 41 row/ bulk hangars to the north side of the Airport.

The city also offers space for the purpose of aeronautical development
at the north side of the Amelia Island Airport.
Now available is one t-hangar with bifold door in Building 8,

one 44 x 41 row/bulk hangar, and one storage area end unit.

Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport is approximately 850 acres.

Airport is open 24/7 year-round. Airport is attended daily 0800-2000 local time (except Christmas Day). Transient aircraft are welcome. Currently 67 based aircraft.

Three runways (04/22, 08/26 and 13/31) and four taxiways (A, B, C and D).  New taxiway E will be completed in Spring 2011.

Runway 4/22
Asphalt surface, 5,300 feet long, 100 feet wide, in good condition (resurfaced in 2004).  MIRL lighting.  LNAV Approach on Runway 22.

Runway 8/26
Concrete surface, 5,001 feet long, 100 feet wide, in good condition (resurfaced in 2003).  MIRL lighting.

Runway 13/31
Asphalt surface, 5,152 feet long, 100 feet wide, in good condition (resurfaced in 2010).  MIRL lighting. LPV Approach on Runway 13.

Lease Land
The Airport has land available for lease for aeronautical/non-aeronautical development on the north side and the east side of the airport.

Current Annual Land Lease Rent:

• Aeronautical – North Area unimproved land with utilities available – 20 cents per square foot
• Aeronautical – North Area improved land, site ready with utilities available – 22 cents per square foot
• Aeronautical – East Area unimproved land with utilities available – 20 cents per square foot
• Aeronautical – East Area improved land with utilities available – 22 cents per square foot
• Aeronautical – East Area improved land to include taxilane/roadway and utilities available – 28.5 cents per square foot
• Non-Aeronautical – East Area unimproved land with utilities available – 30 cents per square foot
• Non-Aeronautical – East Area improved land with utilities available – 35 cents per square foot

Commercial Development
Any commercial aeronautical operation using the Airport requires a leasehold with the Airport or a permit from the Airport. Such operations are either a FBO (Fixed Based Operator) or SASO (Specialized Aviation Service Organization). All commercial aeronautical operations must meet the Airport’s Minimum Standards.
